Volunteer Opportunities

Warehouse:

General Warehouse Duties: Creating and monitoring inventory management systems, organizing bulk inventory

Managing Donations: Receiving, sorting, and organizing donated goods like clothing, books, furniture, and decor.

Thrift Store:

Sales Floor Clerk: Greeting and Assisting customers, sales floor maintenance and housekeeping

Cashier: Utilizing cash register with honesty and accuracy to provide customers with excellent customer experience.

Merchandising: Assembling items for sale or other distribution; pricing items, hanging and displaying clothes and other items, restocking shelves, and creating floor sets

Administrative Office:

Receptionist: Answering multiple telephone lines and scheduling appointments for administrative staff. Position requires an 8 to 4 commitment. Ongoing daily shifts are available.

Men’s Division (MEN ONLY):

Housekeeping: Sanitizing mattress, providing laundry assistance, cleaning bathrooms/shower area

Guest Speakers/Teachers: Must Adhere to Little Rock Compassion Center Statement of Faith

Women and Children’s Division (WOMEN ONLY):

Housekeeping: Sanitizing mattress, providing laundry assistance, cleaning bathrooms/shower area

Kitchen Services:

Greeter/ Drink Server: Welcome guests with a warm smile and give guests a small amount of sanitizer. Guests are to take only one drink at a time. Filling water bottles at the water carafe is prohibited. Please encourage guest not to do this to keep the area safe from contamination.

Line Server: Servers are required to correctly portion the correct amount of food on food trays. Guests will have opportunity for seconds, ONLY ONCE. The correct serving utensils will be provided. Food service gloves must be worn during serving. A Little Rock Compassion Center hat will be provided to always wear while in the dining room and kitchen area.

Table Busser: Before guest arrive and after they leave, you will wipe down tables and chairs. Also, all left over trash and plates must be placed in the dishwashing window and trash can. It is imperative that the floor is cleaned to prevent falls from spills. It is the mission of the busser to help maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the dining room.
