Human Health Project – Children’s Health Literacy Program

The Human Health Project is launching a comprehensive Children’s Health Literacy Program designed to equip young people ages 0–25 with essential knowledge in mental health, healthcare navigation, and diet & nutrition. We are seeking detail-oriented and mission-driven Curriculum Researchers (Volunteer) to help build a strong, evidence-based foundation for the program’s educational materials.

As a Curriculum Researcher, you will play a key role in shaping age-appropriate content for three developmental groups: early childhood (0–5), school-age children and adolescents (6–17), and young adults (18–25). These groups each face distinct challenges—from early emotional learning and nutrition habits, to rising adolescent mental health concerns, to the need for independent healthcare skills in young adulthood. Your research will ensure that our curriculum accurately reflects these needs using credible sources, best practices, and proven instructional models.

    What You’ll Do:

Conduct research on child health literacy, mental health education, youth nutrition, and healthcare navigation

Identify evidence-based practices, developmental benchmarks, and age-appropriate learning frameworks

Gather reputable sources (academic papers, public health guidelines, educational models) to inform curriculum design

Summarize findings into clear, actionable insights for writers, designers, and educators

Collaborate with the curriculum development team to ensure accuracy, cultural relevance, and educational effectiveness

              What We’re Looking For:

Background in education, child development, public health, psychology, nutrition, or related fields

Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information clearly

Familiarity with academic sources and evidence-based practices

Passion for improving children’s health literacy and reducing barriers to health education

This volunteer role is an opportunity to contribute directly to a program that will improve the well-being of children and young adults worldwide.

Help build a stronger foundation for the next generation. Apply today to volunteer as a Curriculum Researcher with the Human Health Project!
