VINEYARD LAUNDRY PROGRAM ATTENDANT
LOCATION:
Vineyard Resource Center at 450 N Livermore Ave, Livermore
SITE DESCRIPTION:
Located in the heart of Livermore, the Vineyard Resource Center provides a welcoming space where individuals and families in the Tri-Valley community can access free essential resources such as Community Meals, showers, and laundry services.
WHY WE NEED VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteers help create a positive and organized laundry experience for our guests. Working alongside OHK staff, volunteers will welcome guests, assist them in learning how to operate the washers and dryers, and help ensure program guidelines and laundry etiquette are followed. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with light clean-up duties such as wiping down counters, sweeping, disposing of trash, and removing laundry from machines when items are left unattended beyond the designated time.
Laundry volunteers are not required to stand for the entire shift. Chairs are available, and volunteers are welcome to sit while guests’ laundry is washing or drying.
Please note: Laundry Program Attendants support the operation of the program but do not wash or fold guests’ personal laundry.
SHIFT DETAILS:
We will host two volunteer shifts per day Monday through Friday
1st Shift: 9:15 AM until 12:15 PM
2nd Shift: 12 PM until 3 PM
Our programs run year-round, and we welcome volunteers ages 16 and up. Our volunteer sign-up process is flexible, with no minimum time commitment. After completing the application below, you can choose opportunities that fit your schedule, whether you’d like to volunteer weekly, monthly, or whenever you’re able.
