Organization: Elite Hospice and Palliative Care
Location: Greater Houston Area (in-person)
Type: Volunteer | Commitment: Flexible | Age: 18+
Elite Hospice is seeking compassionate Companion Volunteers to visit hospice patients and offer comfort through conversation, presence, and emotional support.
Duties:
- Visit patients at home or in care facilities
- Provide companionship: talk, read, or simply be present
- Offer emotional support (no hands-on care)
- Log brief visit notes (training provided)
Requirements:
- Age 18+
- Empathetic, reliable, and a good listener
- Comfortable with end-of-life care
- Must complete a background check and free volunteer training
