Finance Specialist - Professional Volunteer

The SpreadYourHeart Organization provides outreach services that rehabilitate the homeless, recover impaired environments, and empower entrepreneurs around the nation. We operate in states around the U.S but provide direct support to communities in San Bernardino County, CA and Hillsborough County, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements relevant to non-profit and governmental accounting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
• Conduct risk analysis and manage risk effectively to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Prepare and interpret financial statements, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
• Lead the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budgeted targets.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Provide leadership in fiscal management, including treasury management and investment oversight.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business development initiatives through sound financial planning.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring clarity in communication of financial concepts.
• Initiative successful fundraising strategies and maintain healthy donor relationships

Requirements:

• Proven experience in corporate finance, non-profit accounting, fundraising, or public accounting.
• Must have great attention to detail and acccuracy.
• Expertise in strategic planning, cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in risk management principles and practices related to fiscal operations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide teams toward achieving financial objectives.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on account analysis and reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with financial software systems for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
