South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are looking for a volunteer Event Coordinator to by assisting to plan and organize in-person events that engage community members, raise awareness, and further the organization’s mission.
About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help ensure our in-person event runs smoothly. As an Event Assistant, you will play a key role in welcoming attendees, supporting event activities, and creating a positive experience for everyone involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in attendees as they arrive
- Provide directions and information about the event schedule and activities
- Assist with setup and breakdown of event materials and spaces
- Help manage activity stations or workshops as needed
- Support staff and other volunteers with tasks throughout the event
- Monitor attendee needs and report any issues to the Event Coordinator
- Promote programs, resources, or services available at the event
Requirements:
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Comfortable interacting with a diverse group of people
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous volunteer or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
