Sidewalking is a very active volunteer role. Volunteers spend a lot of their time outdoors, walking on trails, walking in the indoor arena and assisting clients and therapists.

Descrição

We are looking for a wide range of volunteer roles to assist with client sessions as a side walker, barn chores, facility management, and horse leading. A side walker’s primary role is to support the client as needed. We will provide thorough training prior to a new volunteer becoming active on our schedule so that they feel competent and comfortable in their role. We ask that volunteers commit to a specific time frame (a consistent day and time), so that you can get to know our therapists and the clients you will work with!

Our client sessions are 45 minutes so we usually ask volunteers to come for a period of 2 hours at a time i.e., 08:00 to 10:00
Volunteers would work 2-3 sessions within this time frame depending on the scheduled client sessions.
