Volunteers Needed: Lakers Youth Foundation Basketball Clinic

On April 4, 5-Eleven Hoops will host a Lakers Youth Foundation Basketball Clinic at Compton College from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, and we are looking for volunteers to support the event.

Why: Volunteering helps make this clinic possible for youth in the community to come out, learn the game, and enjoy a positive day around basketball. Your time and energy help create a welcoming space where kids can build confidence, connect with others, and simply have fun through sport.

What to Expect: Volunteers will help support various parts of the clinic to ensure the event runs smoothly. This may include:

• Assisting with check-in
• Greeting and directing participants and families
• Helping set up and break down event areas
• Supporting coaches and staff during drills and activities
• Volunteers will also help create a positive and welcoming environment for all participants throughout the clinic.

What's Required: No prior basketball or coaching experience is required

• Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with youth and supporting a positive, inclusive environment
• Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers, and be prepared to stand, walk, and assist with light physical activity throughout the event
• Volunteers should plan to arrive on time for their scheduled shift and be ready to support staff and participants as needed.
