Exercise Buddy Needed for Neighbor in Putnam, CT

A local gent who is legally blind would like a gym buddy to attend the area YMCA. You can work out while he does and get fit together. Your role would be to guide him between the machines, drive him to/from the Y and generally be a good friend. He spends about a half hour on the machines. He also loves fishing and is very outgoing and interested in the community.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

desire to help others; pleasant demeanor; good reading/speaking voice; reading skills; organizational or planning abilities; good driving record; clear criminal history; two references; access to a car with proof of insurance; a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage. You must be in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York or Massachusetts, there is no relocation, passport, Visa or stipend available.
