Be a friendly visitor to hopsice patients in Lebanon!

NorthStar Home Hospice is locally owned and operated. We are committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to our patients who live in their own homes or long-term care facilities in Lebanon and througout Warren County.

We are are looking for dedicated and compassionate people to light up the lives of patients through friendly and supportive visits. Being a hospice volunteer is profoundly rewarding and there is no previous experience needed or medical care involved.

Some of the ways YOU can make a difference when visiting patients:

• Providing companionship
• Reading aloud to the patient or listening to music together
• Looking at photos together and sharing memories (life review)
• Sitting with a patient so caregivers have free time (respite)
• Journaling or scrapbooking (helping the patient record their history)
• Watching movies or playing games
• Simply being present
• Visit with your registered therapy dog (Pet Therapy)
• Play music at the bedside
• Much More...

We provide volunteers with:

• Comprehensive volunteer orientation/training
• Screenings (at no cost to you)
• Ongoing support from our professional hospice team
• Flexibility - volunteer based on your availability, in your preferred area
