URGENT - Algebra and English Tutors Needed-Dallas ISD THOMAS JEFFERSON HS Gr 9-12

We have been invited to expand our English and Algebra tutoring to include Thomas Jefferson (TJ) High School, 4001 Walnut Hill, Dallas, just west of Midway Rd. We invite adult Community Volunteers and UNT, SMU and UT-D scholars to help deliver scholarly tutoring for Thomas Jefferson Patriots.

Approximately 400 Thomas Jefferson HS students NEED YOUR HELP TO PASS STAAR Algebra, English or both.

LOCATION: Thomas Jefferson High School, 4001 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75229 west of Midway Rd.

Starting Monday, immediately 9:30am-4:30pm, specific session times included in application. All materials will be provided.

All tutoring must be in person due to bandwidth and equipment constraints, as well as a shortage of quiet areas outside crowded classrooms.

Tutors are welcome as often as your hearts desire and your schedules permit. At least one session each week is essential.

While there may be one-on-one sessions, many will be group sessions of 4-6 students. Except for absences, your assigned students should be consistent from week to week.

We will tutor until mid-May 2026.
