Is 2026 the year you make a difference ? Volunteers Opportunities are available at Gentiva Hospice to provide friendly visits to patients and or their families at local healthcare facilities or in their homes in Worcester county and the surrounding areas.

Patients receiving hospice services have a prognosis of six months or less, although many do live for days, weeks and years. There are members of our community who could benefit greatly from an in-person visit.

What does an hospice volunteer do?

= Volunteers are there to listen and talk, read a book, play cards, share time watching a favorite TV show, talk dogs for a walk etc. Volunteers also provide special support including playing music or working on legacy/craft projects. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help !

How much time do I need to set aside ?

Volunteers provide a minimum about 1 - 2 hours per month, but you can volunteer weekly, biweekly, monthly or what ever fits your schedule ! The most importing thing is supporting our patients and supporting you, our volunteers as a team.
