One-time group service projects in Minneapolis parks, gardens and natural areas

Bring your group together to make a lasting impact in our parks! Groups ranging in size from 5–50 volunteers can take part in one-time service projects that support the health and beauty of our gardens and natural areas. Submit an interest form here.

Group Service Projects:

Ideal For:

• Groups of 5–30 volunteers (larger sites may accommodate up to 50)
• Corporate teams
• Spiritual and community organizations
• Clubs and schools
• Families and youth groups

Availability:

Season: April–November (weather dependent)

Times: Weekday mornings or early afternoons

• Limited weekend availability
• 2–3 hour time slots between 8/9 AM – 2/3 PM
• Occasional late afternoon or early evening sessions available

Typical Project Tasks:

• Spring and fall garden and landscape clean-ups
• Planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching in gardens and along trails
• Invasive plant removal (e.g., buckthorn)
• Litter pickup and park or playground clean-up
