Altrusa Rocks! Our International organization was founded in 1917 in Nashville Tennessee. Our Portland club was founded in 1929. We are a small but mighty club. And are always looking to expand our reach and our circle of volunteers. Our main mission is to advance Literacy, with our ABC program. Altrusans Brings books to Children. we service all of the kindergarten classes in Portland, Westbrook, Windham, South Portland, the Lakes Region schools, Standish, Buxton, Hollis and want to expand.
We also support Food Insecurity programs, we deliver annual scholarships to area high schools and universiities.
So, Yes, We Need You!
