The Amphibian Foundation in Buckhead (Atlanta) has openings in the Collections Team, working directly with some of rarest salamanders in North America. Volunteers will be thoroughly trained, and no prior experience is required. These positions are available for those that would like to gain experience with animal care, work with a passionate team of volunteers, and contribute to the conservation of salamanders.
Volunteer shifts occur on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings (9:30-12) and preference will be given to those that can volunteer for multiple shifts, although we welcome applicants who can contribute on any day.
Animal care such as cleaning, feeding, and maintenance routines, with some working with solutions such as bleach and chlorhexidine are required.
