Silverado Hospice has an ongoing need for volunteers to offer comfort and companionship during the end of life process. Volunteers act as an additional support system for patients and/or their families through the process. Simplistic, but important task such as caregiver relief, playing games, playing music on phone or instrument, reading poetry/scriptures, or sitting quietly while holding the hand of a patient. Volunteers will often sit with the patient/family anywhere from 1 to 2 hours on a weekly basis. Additionally, volunteers will receive training so each volunteer can feel confident.
We are currently seeking a volunteer who can visit a patient in the riverside: Arlington area.
