Interested in a job in social work? Gain experience, help your community!

Get some great experience in social work! Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, assists low-income older adults and adults living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair, and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

We are looking for volunteers to assist a senior or a person with limited mobility with cleaning 1x per week. It's a great flexible schedule--volunteers can sign up for a request that appeals to them and can schedule with clients for days and times that work for both parties. Though there certainly opportunities near your work, home, or school, the further you are willing to travel, the more individuals you will get to meet!

Example of requests below!

• Yard care/mowing lawn
• Laundry
• Cleaning kitchen
• Mopping/sweeping floors
• Phone check-in
• Minor home repairs

Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a Washington State Patrol check and attend an orientation.
