BOARD MEMBER RECRUITMENT FOR NON-PROFIT HELPING VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN AFRICA

A Child for All, Inc., (ACFA) provides a safe and loving environment for vulnerable children in Mali, West Africa. Children[KS1] who previously lived on the streets because they did not have parents who can take care of them are provided a safe home, food, education, health care and all the attention necessary to thrive. ACFA cares for over 155 vulnerable children attending the ACFA school in grades from kindergarten through 4th grade, and these children receive 3 meals a day and basic healthcare as well as an education.

Founded in 2008, ACFA is run by a small and dedicated working board that meets monthly. Our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization, eager to make a difference in the lives of Malian children.

The benefits of contributing to a small working board include:

    • Easy communication and interaction—board members get to know each other well
    • Making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children,
    • Constant and meaningful involvement provides a high level of satisfaction from board service, and
    • The participation of every board member counts.

We welcome all candidates with passion for vulnerable children and ready to give back and support our cause. ACFA’s operations are based at the Zorokoro Children’s Complex which is on 5 acres of land in the village of Zorokoro near the capital of Bamako. The Complex includes a home for ACFA’s children and a school from kindergarten through fourth grade as well as a community library and computer lab. The children engage in sports, learn about sustainability through a vegetable garden, and complement their education at the community library and computer lab.
