AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers in Corsicana to provide direct companionship and conversation to patients in local care facilities or with Home Patients. Volunteers help brighten patients’ days through meaningful interactions and creative activities.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
- Friendly conversation and emotional support
- Playing games or cards
- Assisting with simple crafts
- Sharing music, prayer, or quiet time
Who Can Volunteer:
Volunteers aged 15 and up are welcome (with adult buddy for direct visits). No experience required—just a caring heart and a willingness to connect.
Training & Support:

- Ongoing guidance from our volunteer team
- Role-specific onboarding tailored to your interests
Health & Safety Requirements (Direct Volunteers Only):
- Background check
- Drug screening
- TB testing

All applicants will be reviewed to tailor placement based on program interest and role-specific needs.

Volunteers must consent to the full application process, which includes:

- Agreement to program policies and expectations
- Training Options
Training is offered in two formats to accommodate your schedule:
- Self-paced online modules
- In-person sessions (scheduled regularly)
- Health & Safety Requirements (Direct Volunteers Only)
Volunteers serving in direct patient roles must complete:
- Background check
- Drug screening
- TB testing
- Document Submission
