About Maya’s Hope:

Maya’s Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides life-changing support to children with special needs and extreme medical conditions in Ukraine and the Philippines. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the world’s most vulnerable children through access to medical care, basic needs, and education.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and connected individual to serve as Gala Chair for our 14th Annual Maya’s Hope Lotus Ball. As Gala Chair, you will be the lead volunteer and ambassador for our signature fundraising event—bringing your energy, network, and leadership to help us reach our fundraising and outreach goals.

This is a high-impact role that supports a meaningful cause while engaging in event planning, donor cultivation, and community building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the public face and spokesperson of the Lotus Ball Host Committee
• Collaborate closely with Maya’s Hope’s founder and team on event strategy and planning
• Help recruit, motivate, and guide the volunteer host committee
• Lead efforts to identify and secure corporate sponsors, table captains, and donors
• Help promote the event through your personal and professional networks
• Attend and support pre-gala events and planning meetings (virtual or in-person)
• Provide guidance on programming, honorees, auction strategy, or other elements as needed
• Attend the gala and offer on-site support and visibility as Chair

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A genuine passion for Maya’s Hope’s mission
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A personal and/or professional network they are willing to engage in support of the event
• Experience with fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit boards (preferred but not required)
• A team-oriented spirit and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
• Availability for regular check-ins and planning calls (May–November)
