Hospice exists to support and care for persons in their last stages of incurable illness, helping them live as fully and comfortably as possible and enabling them to have a peaceful death with resolution of loss. All engaged in Hospice Care, whether professionals or volunteers, must strive to meet the highest standards of health care and individual caring.

 As a community-based agency, Amedisys Hospice is committed to providing proper care of the dying patient and his/her family, as well as education for the community regarding Hospice. Hospice Care is provided to any patient regardless of his/her ability/ inability to pay.
