Literacy for Environmental Justice (LEJ) is a place-based nonprofit organization which for eighteen years has strengthened at-risk communities and the natural environment in southeast San Francisco. Our operations include a native plant nursery which serves as a main tool in our educational programming, work experience development, and financial security for our organization as we grow native San Francisco plant species for projects in the Bay Area.
