Our Vision:
Crossroad’s student ministry exists to help youth experience deeper meaning, belonging, and purpose.Crossroad’s Student Ministry is…
Safe
In a society of division, violence, and alienation, we strive to create worshipful spaces that care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of every student. Spaces where youth can live into the fullness of their identity and express their opinions, questions, and doubts without fear of reprimand or condemnation. Therefore, we do not discriminate based on race/ethnicity, sexuality, or gender identity. We do this because we believe in the unlimited welcome Jesus and his love for every person.
Relevant
We are
committed to a form of ministry that is relevant to today's student. Our
approach to discipleship is fresh and exciting, but also engages students on
their own terms - using facebook, instagram, texting, and other tools to
communicate and form relationships with them.
Transformational
We believe the Middle School and High School years of a person’s life are a time of intense formation. It is during these years that we develop a sense of who we are and what we value. In an effort to guide and support youth on along this journey, we offer weekly small group meetings, annual retreats (such as Crossover and confirmation), and summer mission trips, through which students can encounter the grace of God and build life long friendships.
Right now, a group of passionate adult volunteers is working on a series of formational events to help students and their families mark the transition from childhood to young adulthood. Some of these events will begin in the Fall as a lead up to what we are calling “Rights of Passage.” We hope families will take advantage of this unique and important venture.
