Santa Barbara County Adult and Aging Network

The Santa Barbara County Adult and Aging Network facilitates interagency collaboration to meet the needs of older and dependent adults, and serves as an advisory body on issues affecting seniors and functionally impaired adults. The mission of the Network is to provide comprehensive, collaborative community services to older adults with sever chronic disease or disabilities, their families, and caregivers through the following activities:

• improving coordination, planning, communication, education and cooperationidentifying gaps and overlaps in services throughout Santa Barbara County

• clarifying perceptions and expectations among and between county agencies and the community

• setting priorities for interagency projects

• maintaining accurate data to better understand the populations served

• attracting resources from both public and private sectors to meet current and emerging needs

• improving access to existing services
