Director of Corporate Relations

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Corporate Relations is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the National Diaper Bank Network’s corporate engagement strategy. Reporting to the Chief of Development, this position leads the organization in building strategic and impactful corporate relationships and works across departments to advance the organization’s goals and strategies.

Responsible for:

STRATEGY AND LEADERSHIP

• Develops the organization’s comprehensive corporate engagement strategy in close collaboration with the Chief of Development and the Chief of External Affairs.
• Leads the development of shared value partnership proposals for prospective and current corporate partners.
• Establishes annual income goals to support the sustainable growth of corporate giving and engagement.
• Establishes processes to support the effective implementation of planned strategies and metrics tracking in collaboration with the Department of Innovation and Impact.
• Identifies compelling funding opportunities within the organization that can retain and expand current and secure new corporate relationships.
• Leads collaborative efforts throughout the organization to identify opportunities for corporate stewardship and opportunities for engaging corporate partners to support overall organizational goals.
• Integrates current trends in corporate sponsorship and engagement into daily work.

PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT AND FUNDRAISING

• Develops and executes corporate relations strategies through all phases of engagement, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, that will drive renewals and growth.
• Manages a portfolio of key strategic corporate partnerships.
• Develop a data-driven prospecting methodology.
• Identifies, solicits, and cultivates corporate partners with demonstrated philanthropic capacity and alignment with NDBN’s mission.
• Establishes effective processes for tracking prospect and partner strategies and progress toward income goals.
• Builds and maintains relationships on behalf of NDBN with a wide network of corporate contacts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience executing successful corporate partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; relevant experience can be substituted.
• Strong familiarity with corporate fundraising and relationship management practices and techniques.
• Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector and knowledge of current trends in corporate social responsibility.
• Prior experience developing and implementing organizational and program strategies.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: The corporate landscape is constantly evolving, so the ability to adapt to change and pivot strategies as needed is crucial for success in this role.
• Ethical Standards: A strong commitment to ethical standards and integrity is essential.
