JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Director, Affiliate Impact, is a key leadership role responsible for driving excellence in project management, program design, and volunteer management at Dress for Success Worldwide. Reporting to the Chief Affiliate Impact Officer, the Senior Director will lead the codification of project management processes, development of replicable and scalable program designs, and oversee the redesign of our corporate partner volunteer engagement program.


Essential Functions:

This full-time role is pivotal in reshaping our approach to project management, program design, and volunteer engagement, directly impacting the support provided to women across the global affiliate network.


Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Codify project management processes to establish a framework for improved accountability, measurable impact, and scalability across the affiliate network.
  • Implement systems for tracking and measuring the success of projects, making data-driven decisions to enhance program outcomes.
  • Ensure the ability to scale and replicate program corrections and innovative programming globally.

Program Design:

  • Learn and distill best practices from affiliates globally, packaging them into replicable and scalable program designs.
  • Collaborate with Affiliate Impact team members to create innovative program designs that align with organizational goals and can be implemented across the global affiliate network.

Volunteer Management:

  • Lead the redesign of the corporate partner volunteer engagement program, collaborating closely with the Development team on fundraising strategies.
  • Build the capacity of affiliates to effectively manage multiple volunteer projects throughout the year, ensuring that volunteer engagement aligns with affiliate needs. This includes creating positive experiences and implementing a practical workflow for all involved.


In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the Senior Director, Affiliate Impact, will actively contribute to the success and growth of Dress for Success Worldwide in collaboration with the Chief Affiliate Impact Officer and the broader Affiliate Impact team. This includes providing strategic support for initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and leading knowledge-sharing efforts within the global affiliate network.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in roles related to project management, program design, and volunteer management.
  • Experience managing junior to mid-level staff.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in nonprofit management, data analytics, and project evaluation.
  • Experience in organizational change management is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project, and data management platforms.

Position Type and Expected

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a business schedule from Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Employees must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status.  Limited travel may be required.

Work Environment

Dress for Success Worldwide offers a congenial work environment. The dress code is business smart/business casual and employees work on-site in our New York City office three days per week and remotely two days per week.    

Dress for Success Worldwide maintains a COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy and is taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety and health of our employees, volunteers, and clients.

Physical Demands

Employees may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds in performing regular office duties and managing records, files, and materials.

Work Authorization

Must be able to show eligibility for employment in the United States within three days of hire.
