Child and Family Therapist

DESCRIPTION

Southwest Youth and Family Services is seeking an experienced Child & Family Therapist to join our counseling team. The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative team who provides culturally relevant, high quality services within a community based behavioral health agency. This person must have a strong understanding of child development and experience providing strength-based therapeutic interventions for children and families. The Child & Family Therapist is responsible for assessing the needs of clients and providing individual therapy; family therapy; support group, and referral services to youth and their families. 75% of our client population are enrolled Medicaid.

This position is full time, 36 hours per week (exempt position), a salary range of 50,544 to $54,288 annually. REQUIREMENTS

• MA/MS Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field 
• Demonstrate a commitment to equity and social justice. 
• Ability to work with diverse groups and cultures
• Experience providing evidence-based therapies
• Preferred experience with Medicaid
• Ability to work as a team and independently
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent follow-through and ability to meet deadlines
• Must pass a Washington State Patrol Criminal Background Check
• Valid WA State Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clear driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
• Knowledge of and the ability to learn required electronic health record programs.
