FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of belonging so that every child, in every school, experiences the joy and power of food. Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every kid’s health and wellbeing. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and free, nourishing food in school!
FoodCorps is looking for a highly organized candidate to provide support to FoodCorps’ Co-CEOs. Reporting to the President and Co-CEO, the Executive Coordinator will provide critical administrative support to ensure that the organization’s executive leaders are operating with efficiency and efficacy through clear systems. Thanks to your efforts behind the scenes, we will leverage maximum benefit from our executive leaders, especially our President and Co-CEO, run exceptionally effective governance and management meetings, and stay on target to meet our ambitious strategic goals. This is a full-time position.
You are passionate about FoodCorps’ mission and have a demonstrated commitment to child-wellbeing through food justice, health equity, and belonging. You’re a task-fulfiller who thrives on executing on administrative deliverables that enable FoodCorps’ executive leaders to operate at their highest levels. Your super powers include an impeccable attention to detail, your ability to anticipate needs, an ease with asking questions for clarity and guidance, and your comfortability with juggling multiple competing projects and tight deadlines. You possess a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude to getting work done, have a proactive approach to problem solving, and are skilled at “managing up” to executive leaders. You have strong organization skills, but remain flexible: your experience working with experienced, senior leaders and scheduling for individuals and groups allows you to remain nimble as priorities shift and urgent high-stakes projects arise. You are capable of dealing with a variety of personalities in situations requiring diplomacy, poise and firmness. You enjoy working behind the scenes, knowing that your ability to build relationships with the executive assistants of donors and manage up to the President and Co-CEO and Executive Team will be invaluable assets to the organization.
