SHOWER PROGRAM

Shower Power is a NYC-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in New York state.

Shower Power’s flagship initiative is our shower program. We make private bathing facilities and personal care resources available to unhoused New Yorkers, and anyone else with limited hygiene access. The program is deeply guest-centric and affirms the dignity and worth of all our neighbors, especially those choosing to use the services we offer. We make sure freshly laundered towels, brand new socks, t-shirts, underwear, hoodies, and other items, plus a range of toiletries are made available to all our guests. We seek to make each guest’s shower experience as premium as possible. The program operates shower trailers in the warmer months and uses indoor showers at partner sites year-round. The program is powered by a mix of paid staff and trained volunteers.
