The Momentum Post Masters Residency Program for Early Career Clinicians

Start your career in DC public and public charter schools with a cohort of training and support! Our post masters residency is seeking early career clinicians - social workers and/or mental health counselors, particularly BIPOC and multilingual individuals, to earn a market rate salary AND be a part of a small cohort of dedicated learners. Our program supports equity centered practice, uplifts community voice, and helps clinicians build resiliency and prevent burnout. Clinical supervision and mentoring are integral in our program.  After 2 years, be ready to apply for a clinical license! 

Applicants must:

• Be a graduate of an accredited Masters in Social Work or Masters in Counseling Program AND obtain a DC license by June 30, 2024
• Commit to a two-year placement in a DC public or public charter school, employed directly by the school OR by a partner community-based organization
• Commit to working for an additional year post residency in a DC School
• Commit to attending The MOMENTUM Residency activities/training that span a two-year period: July 30, 2024 through June 30, 2026

Standard benefits will depend on school assignment but will include health insurance and days off.

Residency benefits include clinical supervision, professional development, mentoring, peer support.
