GBIV OVERVIEW

Greater Brookland Intergenerational Village (GBIV) is a member-driven nonprofit dedicated to building an even stronger, multigenerational community in the greater Brookland area of Washington, DC. We help our neighbors in Brookland, Brentwood, Langdon, Woodridge, and University Heights develop the relationships and tools needed to age well in place and in community. GBIV is part of an association of thirteen Senior Villages in DC, known as the DC Village Collaborative. Villages work with members to provide social, wellness, and educational programs.  They also coordinate volunteers to deliver support services such as  transportation, home maintenance, yard work, and technology assistance.
