Overview
WAB2G connects and heals women and girls affected by homicide and incarceration to prevent the cycles of violence and victimization. WAB2G achieves our goals through several strategies including but not limited to direct service, advocacy, public education, and community organizing.
The Case Manager and outreach Supervisor will collaborate with the WAB2G team, City, and community partners to connect and support residents impacted by homicide and incarceration to supportive services. They will report to the Director of Programs.
Responsibilities:
Outreach and Engagement
• Lead and supervise the Neighborhood Trauma Team, developing and implementing effective outreach strategies.
• Delegate tasks, schedule team meetings, and monitor the performance of the team in achieving outreach goals.
• Participate in select community events and partner meetings to represent WAB2G services.
Case Management
• Supervise and support other case managers by providing guidance and mentorship, ensuring best practices are followed and high-quality services are delivered.
• Manage a caseload of clients, providing trauma-informed and strengths-based support.
• Conduct intakes and assessments for new clients, identifying their needs and strengths.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized service and referral plans.
• Facilitate referrals and follow-up with other partners to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
• Provide guidance and support to other case managers, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality service delivery.
Training and Presentation
• Develop and deliver training programs for the Neighborhood Trauma Team, equipping them with the skills and knowledge for effective community engagement.
• Facilitate groups and meetings as needed.
Administrative
• Oversee data entry related to outreach and case management activities.
• Delegate report generation on team activities to ensure efficient documentation.
• Participate in staff and partner meetings as needed, providing updates and representing the program's direction.
Essential Skills:
• Case management, advocacy, outreach
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with residents impacted by violence in a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed way
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Google (e-mail, drive, etc.) and Zoom
• Public speaking and presenting a plus
Experience & Education
2+ years’ experience working in the field OR Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in social work, nonprofit management, public health, public policy, or related field
