POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a full-time Community Education (CE) Coordinator to support our important work of providing instruction to a diverse audience of learners. CE classes and programs, both in-person and online, are critical in helping connect the public to our mission, and in supporting the essential training of our students and alumni.

This is a full-time non-exempt position with a starting rate between $22.50 and $28.00/hour. This is a hybrid position that offers a combination of an onsite and remote schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Community Education support  

  • Support the development of class schedules with the Director.
  • Manage and maintain class registration system, including creating class listings, processing refunds, printing reports, etc. 
  • Communicate regularly with CE instructors and teaching assistants.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students by email, phone, and in-person. 
  • Complete other tasks as required.

Marketing & Engagement support  

  • Provide support for
  • CE-related print and digital communications.
  • Collaborate with staff and faculty on occasional School-wide events, including Open House and Graduation.
  • Complete other tasks as required.

PREPARATION,

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Three years of experience in a professional environment. Arts administration or academic experience is a plus. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of customer service.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to develop systems and processes that support efficiency.  
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated software proficiency and able to learn new systems with ease. Knowledge of Google Workspace and additional content management systems or email marketing platforms is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to frequently walk up and down stairs
  • Must be able to lift more than 25 lbs. and assist others to do the same.
  • Walking, standing, and bending for long periods of time
  • Ability to sit at a computer for period of time
