Donor Relations Manager

Shakespeare Theatre Company, in Washington DC, seeks a Donor Relations Manager. This position works within the Individual Giving team to serve as the front-line service for all individual donors to STC, and reports to the Associate Director of Development, Individual Giving. Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for STC’s donors, delivering universal donor benefits, and thanking regular donors from the $120-$1,799 level. The Donor Relations Manager ensures that all donors receive exemplary customer service and donor stewardship, with a particular focus on stewardship and concierge support to donors related to ticketing and events. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $50,000 - $55,000.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management, Business, Marketing, or Communications, or equivalent professional experience. An additional 1-3 years of arts fundraising/or customer service experience, and experience with Tessitura (or other database programs) and email programs is strongly preferred. Candidates should love people and theatre and bringing the two together. Enthusiasm for theatre is a must; knowledge of Shakespeare and classic theatre is helpful but not required. This is a hybrid position, with three days a week on-site required, and possible additional days for meetings or events.
