Job Description: Bilingual Clinical Coordinator (Part-Time)

ORGANIZATION

Partnerships for Trauma Recovery (PTR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to healing the psychological and psychosocial impacts of trauma among international survivors of human rights abuses and forced displacement resulting from war, torture, persecution related to identity and beliefs, gender-based violence and other forms of interpersonal violence. PTR provides culturally and contextually responsive, trauma-informed and linguistically accessible psychological and psychosocial care for asylum seekers and refugees from around the world.

POSITION

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic nonprofit organization working at the juncture of human rights and global mental health. Working in close collaboration with the clinical team and reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Coordinator will support core direct services operations. This position requires initiative, creativity, strong organizational skills, resourcefulness and an interest in promoting global human rights, peace and psychosocial wellbeing among international populations.

The Clinical Coordinator is a hybrid position, required to be on site in our Berkeley office a minimum of one day a week, with the possibility of the on site requirement increasing in the future.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the clinical team in coordination of client care and management of workflow
  • Respond to general requests for information about PTR's referral process, client eligibility, and clinical services
  • Monitor and track client referrals, communicating with referral sources and potential clients in a timely manner as needed
  • Provide introductory and safety screening calls to clients on wait list and triage high risk clients as necessary
  • Facilitate and track client assignments utilizing electronic health records system
  • Create and maintain data tracking systems and protocols necessary for client care as well as grant reporting purposes
  • Manage PTR’s psychiatry care, including internal referrals, scheduling, documentation, coordination of medication refills, direct assistance to clients, and related administrative tasks as needed
  • Coordinate with interpreter program to ensure linguistically accessible services provision
  • Organize and facilitate weekly clinical coordination agenda items and follow-up on tasks with the clinical coordination team and providers
  • Provide training and technical assistance to PTR staff and interns
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners
  • Attend PTR staff meetings and events; perform administrative and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a mental health or healthcare clinic setting.
  • Knowledge of Trauma informed Care
  • Strong data management skills with ability to track patient data and consolidate information from a variety of sources.
  • Experience working with electronic health records or similar data management systems.
  • Experience working collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Interest in global human rights, immigrant rights and social justice.
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and Spanish.

Preferred Experience

  • Masters in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • Experience working cross culturally with diverse international populations, and/or with highly vulnerable individuals or communities.
  • Experience working with high-risk populations and providing triaging as necessary
  • Experience using Salesforce for client and/or other data management.
  • Multilingual in languages spoken by the client population served by PTR.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, G-Suite, and internet research.
