Descripción

This is a remote job with Fix the Court. Compensation ranges from $4,000 to $6,000 per month for a four- to six-month renewable contract.


Fix the Court is a nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 86-1840317) that advocates for “fixes” that would make the federal courts, and primarily the U.S. Supreme Court, more open and more accountable to the American people.


The “fixes” included greater media and public access, term limits for the Supreme Court , new and enforceable ethics rules, stronger recusal rules and workplace conduct protections, comprehensive financial disclosures and public appearance notifications.

We're seeking someone with a commitment to government transparency and an entrepreneurial spirit to work closely with our board and our executive director to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan.


The top priorities of this position are to:

  • Develop a fundraising plan
  • Manage and execute all aspects of development identified in the plan
  • Act as a frontline fundraiser to establish a pipeline of donors and grants


Duties will be guided by the plan the candidate establishes and may include:

  • Running a giving campaign and seeking major gifts, planned giving and corporate and foundation grants
  • Working closely with our constituents/allies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts
  • Identifying, researching and evaluating prospective major gift, individual, corporate and foundation donors to build and grow the prospect pipeline
  • Researching, writing and overseeing the preparation of persuasive and accurate proposals, correspondence and other development-related communication materials
  • Representing the organization to its various constituencies


Qualifications

  • Three or more years of progressively challenging experience with quantifiable results in all areas of fundraising (identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship)
  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree or equivalent lived experience
  • Ability to work independently and be highly organized, efficient and effective in task and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
