Descripción

The Program Manager will oversee the California Health Professional Student Alliance's (CaHPSA) key initiatives, including Project White Coat, which aims to expand healthcare access and improve health outcomes. This role is pivotal in leading efforts that cultivate leadership and advocacy among health professional students, driving change through grassroots actions, education, and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Project White Coat, focusing on training and deploying student volunteers as Covered California Certified Enrollment Counselors.
  • Organize and oversee community outreach and educational workshops to promote healthcare enrollment and access.
  • Engage with diverse community groups, stakeholders, and partners to build support for equitable healthcare initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to enhance student leadership and advocacy skills, furthering CaHPSA's mission and impact.
  • Address challenges and devise innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness and reach.

 Requirements:

  •  Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams and projects.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Profound cultural competency, capable of working respectfully and effectively in diverse environments.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with an ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Deep commitment to healthcare advocacy and passionate about driving systemic change.

 Qualifications:

  •  Experience in leading community service programs, particularly in healthcare or related fields.
  • Educational background in public health, social sciences, healthcare administration, or similar is beneficial.
  • Experience in grassroots organization, advocacy, or education is highly desirable.
