The Partnership Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a coalition of environmental organizations focused on supporting the collaborative efforts of the environmental community. Our programs focus on critical environmental issues including climate change, emissions reduction, and environmental and climate justice.


The Clean Vehicles Campaign is a program of the Partnership Project. 


CLEAN VEHICLES CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW:

The Clean Vehicles Campaign (CVC) is an unbranded coalition of more than 60 groups from various areas dedicated to advancing policies to reduce pollution from cars, trucks, buses, and other vehicles. The Campaign works to leverage existing infrastructure, resources, and assets and collaborates with allied coalitions. 

In the next year, the Campaign seeks to accelerate the drive to a zero-emission future in the transportation sector with a robust U.S. manufacturing sector, strong vehicle standards, and equitable resource deployment.

The Clean Vehicles Campaign is a project of the Partnership Project. 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Clean Vehicles Campaign seeks a Program Assistant to add to our growing team. This person will work under the Senior Advocacy Manager to support the Campaign's mission and maintain strong working relationships with coalition members, allies, the campaign’s fiscal sponsor, and other key stakeholders. 

 

Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail. Additionally, candidates should be excited and eager to support a small team and enjoy collaborating with staff and consultants. 

 

While the Program Assistant will report to the Senior Advocacy Manager, the Assistant will work with all of the CVC team. In-person work is required and some travel is possible. 

 

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Assistant will have the following responsibilities:


This position is responsible for performing a variety of complex administrative and project activities. The Program Assistant will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of internal and external materials.  The Assistant will interface with different members of the coalition, acting as the first line of contact for technical and troubleshooting needs.  This position will be responsible for the support and upkeep of a variety of activities.

 

Program Administration:

  •  Participating in weekly team meetings 
  • Contributing towards a positive, productive, and collaborative working environment. 
  • Maintaining accurate records in team databases and regulatory and legislative tracking systems, updated in a timely manner for effective information sharing.
  • Working with the full team to manage organizational operations, including office management, onboarding and offboarding of staff, and campaign-wide service support
  • Helping manage coalition retreats and events, when applicable.
  • Maintaining office calendars, sending out meeting reminders, and scheduling meetings for campaign staff.
  • Working with the Senior Advocacy Manager to track congressional activities 
  • Tracking relevant news related to clean transportation
  • Draft, edit, and/or proof correspondence, reports, speeches, web text, and other documents. 
  • Other projects as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Key Qualifications 

We are especially interested in candidates with the following qualifications: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for spreadsheets 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency at handling multiple priorities, working efficiently and collaboratively, and taking initiative. 
  • Proactive, self-driven individual with a willingness to learn and ask questions
  • Works well with senior staff and other team members
  •  Competency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite 
  •  A willingness to take initiative, exercise good judgment, and use diplomacy and discretion
  • A creative thinker willing to test out new ideas


Other qualifications include:

  • Interest in Congress or Politics
  • Interest in Transportation Policy

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The target salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience. We offer an excellent benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited paid time off, monthly technology stipend, and retirement contributions through 401k and Roth plans.
