Lower end of range will apply to candidates who meet minimum experience or have limited years of relevant experience. The higher end of range will apply to seasoned candidates with considerable years of relevant experience.

PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) is seeking candidates to join our growing HR team as the Associate Director of Compensation, working out of our main office on Madison Avenue in Los Angeles.

ABOUT PATH

Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. 

ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF COMPENSATION

Reporting to the assigned supervisor, the AD of Compensation leads the implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of PATH's compensation program, policies, and procedures. Position Responsibilities: 

  • Design and communicate pay structures, grades, pay policies, and compensation budgets.
  • Responsible for compensation activities including job evaluation, market pay analysis, internal impact analysis, 
  • cost projections, data audits and analysis, implementation and communication strategies, to improve upon current 
  • compensation practices.
  • Advise managers on effective pay decisions and meet with leadership to discuss compensation issues, concerns or 
  • actions needed; help facilitate resolution.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and 
  • compensation trends.
  • Analyze jobs through the job evaluation process to ensure internal equity of positions across job families and 
  • grade levels.
  • Lead in annual compensation planning process and provide insight regarding salary budgeting, salary structure 
  • adjustments, and salary review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following education and professional experience is preferred:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in compensation program management, job architecture, and pay equity.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, we require all candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in compensation program management, job architecture, and pay equity.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:

  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:Tuberculosis Test
  • Background Screening
  • Drug Test

DRIVING

Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must: 

  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage
