Boston Teacher Residency (BTR), an AmeriCorps program, is a clinical teacher preparation program whose graduates support student achievement from day one and who stay in teaching, continuing to refine and improve their practice. BTR is an affordable pathway into teaching in Boston Public Schools. Residents earn their M.Ed. and initial Massachusetts teaching license in one year.
BTR prepares teachers in Elementary (1-6) or Secondary (6-12) in English, Math, Science, or Computer Science.
