Who We Are

Tandem, Partners in Early Learning is a nonprofit organization at the intersection of social justice and early childhood. Our mission is to co-create equitable, high-quality early learning experiences for children ages 0-5 that are tailored to community needs and draw from community strengths.

We do this through our flagship book sharing program, StoryCycles, in over 800 Bay Area classrooms as well as through family and educator workshops, playgroups, book giveaways, and other initiatives alongside partner organizations throughout  Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties. We prioritize work with communities disproportionately impacted by systemic oppression because we believe that investing in early learning is investing in equity.

We are seeking a Temporary Program Supervisor to join our Alameda County team and provide coverage while our current supervisor is on parental leave.

Tandem is committed to building a diverse staff and strongly encourages applications from people of color, persons with disabilities, persons of all genders, and persons of all sexual orientationsRead more about our organizational values here.
