The Center for Global Workers’ Rights is based in Penn State University's School of Labor and Employment Relations. The Center was established in 2012
with the goal of promoting scholarly research and scholar-practitioner
exchanges on issues related to workers’ rights.
Penn State is the fifth worldwide campus to join the Global Labour
University, a network of universities, trade unions and civil society
organizations that works with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to
provide labor-focused academic programs. The Center offers a year-long Master's in Professional Studies program that focuses on Labor and Global Workers' Rights. The core curriculum covers international labor relations, strategic corporate research and campaigns, comparative employment relations, gender and race relations at work, globalization and transnational labor activism.
