Organization Background: The Environmental Justice League of Rhode Island (EJLRI) began in 2007 as an alliance of individuals and organizations that came together to promote environmental justice in Rhode Island through advocacy, education, networking, organizing, and research. Our mission is to build power in the communities in Rhode Island most affected by environmental burdens and develop leaders to take action to promote safe and healthy environments for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, or income.
