Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy promotes the preservation and proliferation of healthy wildlife habitats throughout Loudoun County by fostering an understanding of the value of nature and providing opportunities for applying that knowledge to the betterment of the natural environment.
We get outside to
explore our great places: Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy offers over 100 programs
each year free to our community. We connect thousands of people to the great
places and wonderful wildlife of Loudoun County each year.
We collect data through citizen science: We lead
monitoring programs on birds, butterflies, streams and amphibians
We restore wildlife habitat: We work with
homeowners through our Audubon at Home program, lead habitat restoration
projects on public lands, work with native plant growers to make native plants
available, and spearhead the effort in Northern Virginia to Bring Back the
Monarchs.
We are also Loudoun's voice for wildlife. In this role, we build
partnerships, work with County and town officials, participate on the ground
and behind the scenes to protect and preserve the great wildlife habitats of
Loudoun.
