One World Surgery

One World Surgery is a nonprofit organization with a mission is to ignite the spirit of service and transform lives by providing access to high-quality surgical care globally. One World Surgery funds and operates the Holy Family Surgery Center, a world-class surgery center in Honduras located on the site of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, a home to over 500 abandoned and disadvantaged children. One World Surgery is dedicated to helping patients lacking resources and access to receive world-class surgical care, as well as empowering hundreds of physicians, nurses and volunteers to make a positive impact on global health.

During week-long medical mission trips to their surgery center in Honduras, physicians, clinical and nonclinical volunteers come together to perform life-changing surgeries. One to two medical mission teams are hosted each month, with up to 60 volunteers per teams. These life-changing volunteer opportunities give socially minded individuals the power to make a positive impact on global health and poverty. One World Surgery is expanding this care model to Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries in order to bring surgical services to under-resourced communities.
