International School of Meydan

The International School of Meydan is a new private school opening in September 2012, and expected to have classes operating at all Kindergarten and Primary Section levels. The school will expand with a secondary section up to Grade 12 in subsequent years. The academic programme will be bilingual in English and French, with classes in Arabic language, and it will be international. The school authorities intend to apply for accreditation to offer all three IB programmes as the school develops: starting with the PYP, then MYP and finally the DP. Content will be based on the French system for the francophone primary stream to comply with accreditation by the French authorities.

The school philosophy revolves around five elements: appreciating elegance and good manners, educational vision for the future, secular orientation, rigour, and respect. The school will seek to inculcate in its students knowledge, skills and attitudes relating to sharing, appreciating multiple perspectives, living together harmoniously, respect, humanist values, and a serious work ethic.
