Long Island Food Not Bombs

Food Not Bombs has multiple chapters that share free food, clothing, books & other essentials across Long Island on a weekly basis. We call these happenings "Food Shares" because community members can ussally get most or all of their groceries for the week. Each Food Share is like a radical supermarket where we all share instead of pay for what we need and everyone is invited to particpate!

If you have vegetarian groceries, vegan prepared foods, clothing, books, toys, etc... that you'd like to distribute please bring them down to any of our below locations to share them with your neighbors. For ideas on what you could share or what is needed you can check out www.LIFNB.com/get_involved. Also if you'd prefer us to pick up stuff, either from your house or another conviant location, we do that as well.

All the groceries at our Food Shares are completely vegetarian and all of the prepared food we give out is 100% vegan. We believe that Food is a Right, Not a Privilege! Especially healthly food, and because of this belief we try to ensure that a majority of the food at our Food Share is nutritious and organic.
