Victory Orphanage and Needy Foundation was established in 2002 by Victoria and her son Kwaku. The Foundation is at the heart of Offinso Municipality, Kumasi (central Ghana). It's the only foundation of it's kind in it's community. We dedicate ourselves from house to house and in the streets, searching for kids in extremely vulnerable situations. We especially focus on orphans and children living in the street. The Foundation aims to secure the future of kids coming from very poor backgrounds. This non-profit educational and residential establishment is meant to serve as a bridge to fill the gap between the poor and the more well-off. Our mission is to Foster the potential and skills of under privileged kids like orphans and street children who can't afford to attend a paid educational establishment. We firmly believe that education is the best (and to a certain extent the only) way to balance social inequalities. We strive to accomplish the following objectives for the benefit of all, irrespective of race, religion, sex and language.
- To support neglected children by providing them with love, care, nourishment, guidance and the highest level of education so that they can grow to be valued members of society with a promising future.
- To help the poor and the needy in achieving self-reliance, while we carry out charitable development and relief work in co-operation with other entities etc. Our school is an institution dedicated to the education of children who otherwise would not have access to learning. We provide them with learning materials, uniforms etc. There are about 100-150 primary pupils in the school and all of them are orphans, needy or street kids. It is a school that cater and provide quality education. The school has cooks, a solid team members and teachers who teaches them all the primary subjects according to the Ghana Education service criteria. Our Orphanage home is a residential institution devoted to the care of orphans and children who, for various reasons, cannot be cared for by their biological families. The parents may be deceased, absent or abusive. Our Orphanage houses children of various ages. Our home has a caretaker who monitors the children and a few helpers to take care of the residents in terms of cooking and keeping the environment tidy for the kids. Our residence cares for children until they can be placed in homes and adopted.
