National Network of State Teachers of the Year (NNSTOY) was chartered as a collaborative teacher-led network of some of the nation's most outstanding educators to serve as a community of learning to gain and share the most effective teaching practices. NNSTOY's committment and goals have since expanded to amplifying and sustaining the teacher voicce in policy and practice beyone the initial year of honor as a State Teacher of the Year (STOY).
