Our Mission

The Social Enterprise Institute at Northeastern University is grounded in the belief that business can be a powerful tool in helping to alleviate poverty in the developing world by utilizing enterprise based solutions. We believe we are building the next generation of global business leaders.

Academics

Since 2007, our Institute continues to offer resources and programs for students to act as proponents of social change by using business solutions as a sustainable way to assist the poor. The Institute equips students with knowledge on social entrepreneurship through our growing academic course offerings in social enterprise, micro-finance, social investment and impact measurement. Additionally, the Institute provides students with field experience through partner organizations in countries all over the world. This exposure provides students with hands on learning experience, preparing undergraduates at both the academic and practitioner level.
